This update introduces Caption Clip, a new way to manage captions as a single clip on your timeline. When you generate captions, they are grouped into one Caption Clip that you can move and trim like any video clip. You can then split that Caption Clip into multiple Caption Clips and apply different templates to each group, so your captions can change style across the edit while staying easy to control.

It also brings a refreshed layout, giving the timeline more breathing room and making editing feel more open and balanced. The media panel has been moved to the controls area for a more streamlined workspace.

What if you could edit a video just by talking to it?

This update lets you chat to build your rough cut. You tell the AI what you want, it looks at your footage, finds the important moments, and lays down a first edit for you. In the example above, all cuts are made from visuals only, since there is no speaker. When your footage includes dialogue, the agent is also very good at keeping a clear and consistent storyline, so you always start from something watchable instead of an empty timeline.

Added
  • Chat based editing where the AI builds your first rough cut

  • Visual scene detection for footage with no speech

  • Automatic cuts that keep the story flow when dialogue is present

  • Rough cut preview directly in the timeline
